A fabulous antique Bidjar rug, hand woven circa 1900, possibly a little earlier. The design features a large hexagonal medallion on a plain (ish, more of which later!) camel field surrounded by an indigo border and wonderfully random inner border. I have seen many rugs with figures but this is the first with what appear to be a couple of scorpions!
Size: 2.22m x 1.24m (7ft 4in x 4ft 1in)
This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear, very slightly heavier on a section of the border (see photos). Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.

As well as the descriptions, age and where they were made, all my antique rugs have a brief condition report. I mention things like wear, what the fringes and edges look like and any issues like repairs, usually with photos. Occasionally, I may miss something (like a small well done repair). If you notice something and this bothers you, please feel free to send it back to me for a full refund.
