A fabulous antique Bakhtiar rug, woven circa 1910. The design features a large lozenge medallion on a ‘mille fleurs’ (thousand flowers) green field and particularly attractive terracotta border. Lovely wool quality and stunning colours make this a very decorative and sought after rug.
Size: 2.11m x 1.33m (6ft 11in x 4ft 4in)
This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear, very slight (and small) area of blushing on the red ground, barely noticeable (see photos). Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.

As well as the descriptions, age and where they were made, all my antique rugs have a brief condition report. I mention things like wear, what the fringes and edges look like and any issues like repairs, usually with photos. Occasionally, I may miss something (like a small well done repair). If you notice something and this bothers you, please feel free to send it back to me for a full refund.
