A fabulous antique Bakhtiar rug, handwoven circa 1900. The design features a terracotta medallion with a central cypress tree flanked by two smaller indigo medallions on a rare ivory field. A beautifully simple design with great secondary colours of reds, blues and golds.
Size: 2.06m x 1.33m (6ft 9in x 4ft 4in)
This rug is in good overall condition with medium, age related wear. Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.

As well as the descriptions, age and where they were made, all my antique rugs have a brief condition report. I mention things like wear, what the fringes and edges look like and any issues like repairs, usually with photos. Occasionally, I may miss something (like a small well done repair). If you notice something and this bothers you, please feel free to send it back to me for a full refund.
