A lovely vintage salt bag handwoven in the mid 20th Century by the nomadic Qashqai tribe. This small bag would have been woven to carry salt on their biannual migrations. The top section of the bag would be folded over to prevent spillage.
Size: 0.60m x 0.45m (2ft x 1ft 6in)
This salt bag is in good condition with light, age related wear.

I mention things like wear, what the fringes and edges look like and any issues like repairs, usually with photos. Occasionally, I may miss something (like a small well done repair).
