Antique Bakhtiari Chanteh 0.23m x 0.25m
Antique Bakhtiari Chanteh 0.23m x 0.25m
A lovely antique Chanteh woven by the nomadic Bakhtiari tribe circa 1880 with a Soumakh weave on both sides. The design features an allover lattice in golds and reds on one side and blues and reds on the other. These small vanity bags were woven by the women of the tribe and would have been used to keep valuable items such as jewellery or money. These antique Chantehs have become very hard to find and are highly collectible.
Size: 0.23m x 0.25m (9in x 10in)
This Chanteh is in good condition with very light, age related wear. No holes or repairs.

To put it simply, I want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If, for any reason, you are dissatisfied with your rug, please return it to me in it's original condition within 14 days for a full refund.
As well as the descriptions, age and where they were made, all my antique rugs have a brief condition report. I mention things like wear, what the fringes and edges look like and any issues like repairs, usually with photos. Occasionally, I may miss something (like a small well done repair). If you notice something and this bothers you, please feel free to send it back to me for a full refund.
Actually, even if you don’t find anything and you’re just not 100% sure you like it, send it back for a full refund. Or we can find something even more awesome.
