An outstanding antique tribal rug, woven by the Afshar tribe circa 1900, possibly a little earlier. The rug features an allover design of tulips on a deep indigo field. Finely woven with lovely wool quality and stunning colours make this a very decorative rug.
Size: 1.48m x 1.30m (4ft 10in x 4ft 3in) The rug bulges in the centre - the width dimension is taken there. The width at the top and bottom is 1.22m.
This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear. Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.

I mention things like wear, what the fringes and edges look like and any issues like repairs, usually with photos. Occasionally, I may miss something (like a small well done repair). If you notice something and this bothers you, please feel free to send it back to me for a full refund.
