A lovely antique Gabbeh rug, hand woven by the nomadic Qashqai tribe circa 1920. The design features 5 medallions on a rich terracotta field. Some interesting characters including peacocks and camels and a great example of tribal art!
Size: 1.58m x 1.08m (5ft 2in x 3ft 7in)
This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear. Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.

As well as the descriptions, age and where they were made, all my antique rugs have a brief condition report. I mention things like wear, what the fringes and edges look like and any issues like repairs, usually with photos. Occasionally, I may miss something (like a small well done repair). If you notice something and this bothers you, please feel free to send it back to me for a full refund.
