An exceptional antique Heriz carpet, woven circa 1920. The design features a large geometrical medallion on a rich terracotta field surrounded by a classic deep blue border. The design is very unusual with the scrolling vines in the field and the medallion is particularly beautiful. Very attractive secondary colours of greens, pinks and blues and particularly the gold in the medallion. A highly decorative carpet.

This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear. Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.

As well as the descriptions, age and where they were made, all my antique rugs have a brief condition report. I mention things like wear, what the fringes and edges look like and any issues like repairs, usually with photos. Occasionally, I may miss something (like a small well done repair). If you notice something and this bothers you, please feel free to send it back to me for a full refund.
