A rare antique Heriz rug, handwoven circa 1900, possibly a little earlier. The design features a geometrical pink medallion, more reminiscent of Caucasian rugs, on an unusual gold field surrounded by a soft blue border. Fabulous secondary colours including pinks and greens. The style and combination of colours is not something I have come across before and it's a wonderful decorative little rug!
Size: 1.73m x 0.94m (5ft 8in x 3ft 1in)
This rug has medium all over wear, slightly heavier in places (see photos). Slight loss to end borders, now secured (see photos). The fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.

As well as the descriptions, age and where they were made, all my antique rugs have a brief condition report. I mention things like wear, what the fringes and edges look like and any issues like repairs, usually with photos. Occasionally, I may miss something (like a small well done repair). If you notice something and this bothers you, please feel free to send it back to me for a full refund.
