Vintage Silk Qum Rug 1.50m x 1.02m
A very fine vintage silk Qum rug, woven in the last quarter of the 20th Century. This rug features a traditional garden design with interlocking trees, flowers and a variety of wildlife, including a couple of deer, on an ivory field and beautiful soft green border. Lovely silk quality and some fabulous secondary colours including pinks, greens and golds make this a very decorative rug. Exceptionally finely woven with 9x9 knots per centimetre, which means the rug has approximately 1.2 million knots.
Size: 1.50m x 1.02m (4ft 11in x 3ft 4in)
This rug is in original condition with good pile. Tiny discolouration to a small part of the fringe, barely noticeable (see photos). The fringes and selvedges are original and secure and it has been professionally cleaned.

Please note that all photos as well as the short videos are taken outdoors in natural light. The explainer videos are taken in my showroom under spotlights and may appear different (often a yellowish tinge). The photos remain closer to the original colours but this will change slightly in different home lighting. In no way does this affect your right to return the rug. To put it simply, I want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If, for any reason, you are dissatisfied with your rug, please return it to me in it's original condition within 14 days for a full refund.
As well as the descriptions, age and where they were made, all my antique rugs have a brief condition report. I mention things like wear, what the fringes and edges look like and any issues like repairs, usually with photos. Occasionally, I may miss something (like a small well done repair). If you notice something and this bothers you, please feel free to send it back to me for a full refund.
