An exceptionally fine silk Qum rug, woven in the last quarter of the 20th Century. This rug features a traditional garden design with interlocking trees, flowers and a variety of wildlife, including a couple of deer, on an ivory field and wine red border. Lovely silk quality and some fabulous secondary colours including pinks, greens and golds make this a very decorative rug. Exceptionally finely woven with 10x10 knots per centimetre, which means the rug has a total of approximately 1 million knots.

This rug is in original condition with good pile. The fringes and selvedges are original and secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
