An outstanding antique Tabriz rug woven at the beginning of the 20th Century. This rug features a stunning paradise garden design on an ivory field surrounded by a deep red and sky blue border. Lots of animal figures including birds, deer, snakes and, in a first for me, what looks like a lion with a human head having it’s lunch! Some wonderful secondary colours of golds, reds and greens and a very decorative rug.
Size: 2.00m x 1.48m (6ft 7in x 4ft 10in)
This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear, slightly heavier in a very small area in the centre and along the outer edge (see photos). Two very small marks that didn’t come out after cleaning - almost impossible to detect as they are hidden in the design (see photos). Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.

Please note that all photos as well as the short videos are taken outdoors in natural light. The explainer videos are taken in my showroom under spotlights and may appear different (often a yellowish tinge). The photos remain closer to the original colours but this will change slightly in different home lighting. In no way does this affect your right to return the rug. Please remember that I want my clients to be happy with their purchase and would be happy to find the perfect alternative.

To put it simply, I want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If, for any reason, you are dissatisfied with your rug, please return it to me in it's original condition within 14 days for a full refund.
As well as the descriptions, age and where they were made, all my antique rugs have a brief condition report. I mention things like wear, what the fringes and edges look like and any issues like repairs, usually with photos. Occasionally, I may miss something (like a small well done repair). If you notice something and this bothers you, please feel free to send it back to me for a full refund.
Actually, even if you don’t find anything and you’re just not 100% sure you like it, send it back for a full refund. Or we can find something even more awesome.
